Human Resources: Effective Performance Management

Having an effective Performance Management System ensures that individual and team goals are aligned with the organizations strategic goals.  It is a continuous process that does not only involve reviewing performance on an annual basis, but also involves having up-to-date job descriptions,  providing necessary training, continuously reviewing, and assessing employee progress, and providing ongoing coaching, communication, and performance feedback.

Participants will not only learn how to build an effective Performance Management System, but they will also learn how to establish consistent processes on how to recognize and properly address performance concerns quickly as well as keeping all employees motivated and on track.  Particular areas of focus will be:

  • Setting Goals/Deliverables & Expectations
  • Providing Effective Feedback
  • Performance Reviews
  • Providing Constructive Feedback & Coaching for Improvement
  • Dealing with Performance Issues
  • Understanding the Progressive Discipline Process
